Cooing and remodeling!
Well, I just couldn't help but share this video of Connor. He is at a fun stage right now where he likes to smile, coo and giggle a lot. I just couldn't love that little boy more, he is a great little baby. He's started sleeping 10-12 hours at night, most nights which just makes me giddy beyond belief :) During the day it is hard to get him to take a nap, but we're working on it!
It has been a lot of fun to see Hayden and Connor together because she understands that he's her little brother and she does her best to play with him, distract him when he's crying, go find his binky and share her blanket with him. Her favorite book right now is "I'm a big sister" and she points to herself and says, "Sister!" and "connor" when there's a picture of the baby in the story.

She is also endlessly patient. When I'm trying to put Connor down to sleep and am rocking him and shushing... Hayden will sit quietly on the bed and read books or watch a video on my Kindle and she won't make a peep until we're out of his room. I just am so proud of her and how sweet she is.
Hayden has also been learning her numbers (she can count up to ten) john has been teaching her spanish so she can also count to ten in spanish, she can also recite her a,b,C's (she gets into the rythmn but if she gets off track then she gets stuck) and we're working on her colors which shes getting better at. Her favorite movie is "tangled" and she follows along with the dance moves and actions the characters make. She is a joy to be around!
The other news is that we have a new bathroom, yippee!! Not that our old bathroom was terrible, but we just had these ideas of what we wanted to do, and so with some of our tax money left over, we bit the bullet and plunged into a major remodel. Below are some pictures along the way and the final product. John did most of the work except for laying the granite counter and installing the glass shower. He did an AMAZING job and we LOVE the new shower!

John tore out the old shower and moved it back about 18 inches so that we could put in a granite bench. Then he ripped out the old tile, replaced it and added stripes along the back wall behind the tub and on the front of the tub and water proofed everything.

Plus, he did all the plumbing himself! He is a great handyman!
And I just had to add this picture, because I thought it was such a pretty picture of Simba ;)
