we love fall weather!

Today the three of us, three HEALTHY people (all three of us have been batteling horrible sinus infections and poor Hayden just got over Pnuemonia) got out to enjoy the weather. This wonderful fall weather. It was a beautiful, gorgeous, wonderful, fabulous day :) The sun was shining, the leaves are just starting to turn and fall in the breeze and everyone was outside, riding their bikes, lounging in the sun and enjoying the last of summer sun. We drove down to Ohiopyle, walked around and had some ice-cream :) Here are a few of my favorite pics from the day!

Oh, one of our new favorite toys for Hayden is a new backpack from Kelty that we bought last week. Hayden LOVES it, I think she loves being the same height and within touching distance of John and I, but its been a lot of fun to cart her around! Plus, it feels a lot better on our backs!

We have been told to start allowing Hayden to try new foods, so we are letting her try "people" food. It is pretty funny because her initial reaction is ALWAYS a look that says, "this is disgusting, what kind of sick people are you to put such garbage in my mouth?"



But, after a trepidacious first try, with just the tip of her tongue, she invariably opens her mouth for another try (unless its peas or some weird texture, in which case she has been known to actually gag it back up) and so far she loves popsicles and ice-cream. Go figure, I guess she really is our kid. :)

Last week, (yes, she had pnuemonia last week, but she was still surprisingly up for play time) we got out of the house. We were all a little stir crazy from being inside the "sick house" for so long ( a super long post on the goings on of August to come shortly) and needed to get out. So we went for a drive to one of our favorite parks and let Hayden play around in the sand for the first time.



Yes, that IS a bib she is wearing. That is her latest accessory to every outfit. She drools like a st. bernard. like a leaky faucet, heck, like a faucet turned on full tilt. We go through 2 or 3 bibs a day. Seriously.
